Terra Nova Touch Tank / Bassin tactile
The touch tank at Terra Nova's Visitors' Center offers a chance to gently touch live sea creatures! These are the same species you could find in the intertidal waters near the Center's wharf. The starfish is very soft to touch, even though it looks spiny! The anemones are very sensitive. They can withdraw their filaments very quickly. You can see periwinkles and hermit crabs among the rocks and seaweed.
I began this blog during my Master of Fine Arts studies from 2012 - 2014 at the Lesley College of Art and Design in Cambridge, MA. Since then, I have used it to post snippets about my travels and artist residencies.
